Sassy Sushi Nigiri doesn’t tell jokes – he dismantles the concept of humour itself. A cult name on the alternative-comedy circuit, he’s known for abstract rice-based metaphors, and his iconic balancing slab of salmon.
His last performance was a 45-minute set from inside a bin. (“A comment on compartmentalisation,” he explained.) Amuseables Cauliflower still doesn’t get it, but he lets Nigiri open all his shows.
He might not be everyone’s flavour – but for those in the know, he’s umami gold.
