Birdling Seagull is the youngest member of the Seaside Rock Flock: a pier-based vocal group conducted (patiently) by Maya Octopus.

He’s tiny, but his squawk? Surprisingly sonorous. It’s the co-ordination that’s trickier. Last week’s attempt at a mid-chorus shuffle ended in feathered chaos. Still, his stage presence is undeniable, and Maya insists he’s got potential!

The dream is a solo one day. For now, he’s just working on staying in time and not walking off the end of the pier.
